This conditioner is formulated for women with oily and thin hair who are looking for not greasy hair rinse-off conditioner but with good detangling and anti-static properties. The product has a creamy texture and a light viscosity, to be able to wash out easily. The hair develops a fresh citrus fragrance.
Some words to the ingredients used in the recipe:
- Varisoft EQ 65 has conditionning and emulsifying properties
- Hydrolized silk proteins is moisturizing and protective
- Honeyquat helps to detangle, improves shine and brightness of hair
- Aloe vera gel and urea are easy to find and are excellent moisturizers
- Panthenol is a good humectant and film-former
- Only a very small amount of Broccoli Seed Oil is used as a film former. Otherwise, the thin hair will feel greasy and heavy
- Honeyquat improves hair texture and thickness, facilitates detangling and styling
- Hydrolized silk proteins works protective
- Panthenol is a good film-former and a hair conditioning
- Natural pomegranate vinegar is not only a pH adjuster but also improves shine and brightness of hair
- In order to bring a fresh citrus fragrance into the hair, used bergamot and grapefruit essential oils are used
- Coco-Caprylate / Caprate, LexFeel® Natural and Ester oil sensolv are natural silicone replacements
- GuarSilk is used as a thickener and conditioner. It prevents the static charge of the hair, improves the combability of the hair and increases the creaminess of the product. It also has a smoothing effect on hair
- Urea, however, is very heat sensitive and should be incorporated in your product at a cool-down phase. Furthermore, over time it breaks down and releases ammonia, which increases the pH and, as a result, lowers the activity of the preservative and has an unpleasant scent. In order to prevent this, it is highly recommended to stabilize cosmetic products by using lactic acid and sodium lactate which is also a very good moisturizer

| Formulation procedure: | |
| Stage A | Heat the water to around 75C and disperse Varisoft EQ 65 |
| Stage A1 | At a cool-down phase add all components to the Stage A and disperse |
| Stage A2 | Add all components to A+A1 and mix carefully all together |
| Stage B | Mix all components together. Make sure that A and B have the same temperature, mix them and whisk/stir rhythmically until the emulsion has formed |
| Stage C | Add essential oils and the preservative to the previous mixture. Measure the pH of the product and adjust if required (must be lower than 5.4). Transfer to a dispenser. |
Some comments:
Distilled water can be replaced with hydrosols of your choice.
Shelf-life of the product is about three months.
The conditioner should be used after shampooing on wet hair and should bring shine to the hair, help to detangle and reduce static of the fine hair but not make it heavy or greasy.
